The purpose of the Implementation of The First Tee was to provide young children in the Kalamazoo area an opportunity to learn valuable life lessons through the great game of golf. In addition, the program was also designed to provide Kalamazoo College students a leadership opportunity and a chance to make a positive impact in their community. The project has three main stages. The first stage is the organization of the project itself. This includes all of the behind the scenes work that occurred. Hours of planning, meeting, training, emailing, etc. over the summer of 2018 made this whole thing possible. The second stage of the project was the execution of the project. This includes the six sessions in which strategic games and activities were taught in efforts of achieving the program’s objectives. The final stage includes the data analytics and reflection on the project. It is with great pride that I can report a successful completion of the project which hopefully provided a bright spot in the lives of some Kalamazoo area children.en_US
