dc.description.abstract | Economic recession is a brilliant term used to describe a beaten and battered system, trying to maintain homeostasis. The balance between sinking deeper into the recession, which refers to a period of economic decline, and clawing your way back to the light of profits, lies within a company's marketing strategies and business techniques. The purpose of this case study is to evaluate the relative success of Dollar General during the economic period known as the Great Recession (2007-2010). With aggressive store expansion and privatized branding within their stores, Dollar General has laid a blueprint for future success. To study specific Dollar General tactics, Mendon, MI is the focus of this case study. | en_US |
