    Abstract
Bell and the art of ringing them have a rich history that we can trace back centuries to various cultures. The bells can be viewed through many lenses. The focus of this SIP is not the technical and mathematical side of bell ringing however, but instead focuses on the historical, social, and cultural significance of bell ringing. Why people love ringing and hearing the bells, the sense of community they provide, and how I got started ringing. Everyone has a first-time experience that either turns them down, or makes them want to dive in and learn more and immerse themselves deeply into the art.
