The internship was a ten-week job with Kintetsu World Express, a Japanese shipping company. Aside from various clerical duties, the author developed and implemented an educational program which familiarized the American workers with certain aspects of Japanese culture, language and business practices. There were many times that the Americans could not understand why the Japanese acted or reacted a certain way. Hopefully, this program was successful in ameliorating relationships between the two cultures in the office.en_US
