Abstract
This aerial view of Kalamazoo College's campus was taken from the southwest. It shows the start of construction on DeWaters Hall in the foreground. The groundbreaking for this new women's dormitory took place in December of 1963. The Light Fine Arts building in the upper left was just nearing completion. At this time, Hicks Center did not exist. In its place stand Welles Hall, the dining hall, and Bowen Hall, a classroom building. Tredway gymnasium with its attached fieldhouse stands at the upper right, near the railroad tracks. Other campus buildings visible in this view are Stetson Chapel, Mandelle Hall, Olds-Upton Hall, Harmon Hall, Hoben Hall, and Trowbridge Hall.
