The purpose of this research is to emphasize the importance of the relationship between health service providers and legal aid organizations when it comes to serving migrant and seasonal farmworkers. Medical-legal partnerships are extremely important to the farmworker population, and can help determine the social determinants of health that affect these workers. While there are countless obstacles these workers face, those that are most common include: wage theft, substandard housing, pesticide exposure, unsafe and unsanitary field conditions, and workplace injury. These social determinants of health can be financially and physically harmful to farmworkers, and can be challenging for them to combat on their own. The laws and regulations in place regarding their employment and living conditions are not always consistently followed by their employers, which creates additional barriers these workers face when seeking help.en_US
