The Long Term Impact Of Growing Up In A Jewish Summer Camp: A Proposed Study
Abstract
The proposed study examines the many relationships between religion, namely Judaism, and a variety of factors including psychosocial development, interpersonal relationships, and personal identity formation. The research indicates that Judaism, in its many forms, has an overwhelmingly positive influence on these factors. Specifically, this exploration details the many constructive benefits of growing up attending a Jewish summer camp. As the majority of the previous research observes only imminent effects, a study is proposed that seeks to further the understanding of the long term effects that growing up in a Jewish summer camp has on subjective happiness and life satisfaction.
