Dog Tales : A Documentary SIP

The author writes “through the powerful medium of film, I want to bring the knowledge that I have gathered from my experiences, and the knowledge others have gathered from theirs. It brings all of my interests and skills to the forefront, and I am proud to present it to the rest of the college community. Dogs play large roles in the lives of everyone they touch, and it is important to me to bring these stories to light. Considering the roll dogs have played in my life, and even my college career, I know that this is the best way to cap off my time at Kalamazoo. This is a combination of all of my passions: film, storytelling, and dogs. This project is a product of one of the lessons my childhood dog taught me: keep after something that is important to you. This project truly did take that tenacity and hard work. After working on it for almost a full year, I have learned more about myself as a student, a filmmaker, and a person after all of the mistakes and pit falls, and I would not have learned any of it if I had not gone after it the way my dog would have gone after a tennis ball that landed in the water (she hated getting wet). The lessons that Maggie taught me gave me the strength to come to this school, to stay and work through it, and the inspiration to do this project.” The video associated with this item is currently not archived in CACHE.
