This study examines the development of millennial sexual awareness in the diverse setting of a small liberal arts college. The author assesses normative beauty standards in relation to race and sexual orientation to analyze the presence of sexual deviants on campus. The author argues that while millennial students in the liberal arts collegiate environment maintain varying attitudes and values in regards to sex and sexuality, there continue to be socially accepted actions and discourse on campus in relation to the topic that favor inclusivity and a judgement-free environment. The author conducted confidential semi-structured interviews with ten students from Kalamazoo College from various backgrounds. Results indicate that students do have an understanding of normative beauty standards in connection to whiteness and heterosexuality, however, the environment at Kalamazoo allows and fosters a sense of acceptance for all students. This sense of acceptance is brought on by the school and its values toward acceptance and sexual health, and is maintained by students. The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of the culture of sex in college and how the collegiate environment fosters a sense of acceptance in relation to sexual deviants from the norm.en_US
