dc.description.abstract"My sculpture Senior Individualized Project consists of a series of sculptures and installations made from construction materials, exploring the themes of geometry and aesthetic appeal. I created four individual pieces that make up my SIP portfolio, and each piece is entirely its own. Each piece has a kinetic/moving element, and my most successful sculptures are the two that employ the natural environment to foster a sense of discovery in those who come across them. While I had similar thoughts and themes in mind while creating each piece, they are not meant to be seen as a group, but rather as four, unique, and separate sculptures. I do not wish to make a critique on society or culture with my art, and I am not attempting to make a statement regarding some abstract philosophy. My sculptures are intended to be aesthetically pleasing and enticing, and I hope that they inspire wonder and curiosity in those who see them."en_US
