Abstract
“Throughout my life, as I have traveled across the world, I have admired the equilibrium between beauty and fact, technicality and creativity and how they sustain each other through their differences. As both a Mathematics and Studio Art major, I have fluctuated between two extremes, dancing among either specialty, experimenting with each skill and wondering how I can blend them together. I found my answer in Architecture. With this display, I wanted to further examine my personal experience with architecture and what stories I could tell through structure and form. The images I chose for my gallery depict elements from architectural forms that symbolize moments in my life that influenced my being. These features range from ancient Roman carvings now placed in a fountain by my favorite square, or the magnificent cathedral that changed my life forever.”
