Abstract
The author describes the process of creating a photographic installation that combine photographs from the state of Oaxaca, Mexico with nineteen poems selected and translated by the author. The installation revolves around the themes of death, the acceptance of death, timelessness, the unceasing passage of time, pride alongside humility and the experience that one must have to acquire such a combination, the wisdom that results, randomness, connection to nature, loneliness, and the acceptance of loneliness.
