dc.description.abstract | Recent technological advances have developed 3D printing into a multibillion dollar industry. This paper outlines the benefits of 3D printing compared to traditional manufacturing. Descriptions are provided of fundamental 3D printing techniques, associated software, and other critical information. This paper examines the utilization of 3D printing in aviation manufacturing, food, and solar industries.
