The Changes Over Time of Communication Patterns in Subjective Team-Level Person-Group Fit: A Proposed Study
Abstract
Person-group (PG) fit is the interpersonal compatibility between an individual and the members of the group that they are working with (Kristoff-Brown, Zimmerman, & Johnson, 2005). There have been a multitude of studies done on individual-level PG fit, but there is a lack of studies on team-level PG fit. It has also been shown in studies that communication between group members has been linked to varying outcomes (Mesmer-Magnus & DeChurch, 2009). Therefore, there is potential that subjective team-level PG fit could affect the outcomes of certain tasks.
