Crafting a Passion : an Individualized Guide to Film Acting
This SIP is divided into three parts: Physical and Mental Health, Developing and Practicing the Craft of Film Acting, and Building Opportunities to Use the Craft of Film Acting. In part one, the author focuses on building a physical and mental health plan. This section includes a personalized stretching routine and workout routine, a nutritional guide, a reflective six-part plan to addressing the psychological stresses of acting for film, and a statement of my personal philosophy in regards to acting for film. In part two, he focuses on developing and practicing the craft of film acting. This section includes a personalized acting routine built of mime, mask, improvisational, voice, scene, and monologue work, journal entries, and lessons learned from Stella Adler, Sanford Meisner, and Michael Chekhov. In part three, he focuses on setting up to successfully use the craft of film acting. This section includes writing screenplays, getting headshots taken, creating a demo reel, crafting a resume, and managing an IMDb Pro page in order to successfully seek representation, and find audition opportunities.
