Risk Factors for Cardiovascular Disease Among Patients Presenting to the Heart Foundation of Jamaica for an Electrocardiogram (ECG)
This research paper determines and analyzes the risk factors of cardiovascular diseases in the Jamaican adult population. In this paper an abnormal electrocardiogram (ECG) is used as the main determinant to decide the likelihood of an individual being diagnosed with any cardiovascular disease. This paper provides insightful facts and results as to how the determined risk factors often affect each other and the presence of more than one of these risk factors increases a person's likelihood of such diagnosis. The paper also highlights what causes the evolution of such risk factors and how these can be fixed.
