Abstract
I seek to present, problematize, and complicate the ways in which academic discourse frequently constructs narrow arguments about sex work and the sex industry, with little regard for the voices of sex workers themselves. I present a framework for understanding theoretical concepts of agency as they relate to contemporary feminist discourse on sex work. Finally, I advocate a complex and multifaceted approach to viewing and discussing sex work using an anticolonial feminist analysis.
