Douglas MacArthur: The Lion of Inchon
Abstract
One of the most pivotal engagements during the Korean War was the Inchon Landing, codenamed Operation Chromite, which took place on September 15, 1950 at Inchon Harbor in South Korea. The landing was the brainchild of five-star General Douglas MacArthur. Operation Chromite was a logistical nightmare for MacArthur and his staff, but as a result of MacArthur’s powerful personality, Chromite was made a reality.
