Although there are many ways to view the oppression of those with less capital, this project is going to focus on the lens of different forms of capital and how they influence the perceptions and treatment of those who do not possess the preferred capital. There shall also be an emphasis on sentience being a defining principle of personhood and whether or not a being reaches that status through perceived sentience or lack thereof. By looking at the different forms of capital, the disparities between those with capital and those without, as well as how capital and its possessors work to create and define society, that dominance, sentience, power and the justifications of oppression shall be explored.en_US
