Abstract
04 The Physics of Everything - Have computer…will travel! Statistical physicist Jan Tobochnik (the Dow Distinguished Professor in the Natural Sciences) seeks patterns in his research “travels,” which range from earthquakes to economics. -- 06 Surprises Beyond the Bend - The K-Plan journey of junior Donna Aguilar has provided its share of surprises, and she likes that! -- 10 Human Rights Journey - The law has taken Corinne Lewis ’81 across the globe in an effort to secure the rights of people facing some of the most difficult circumstances. -- 13 The World on Our Campus- More and more international students are choosing K for their undergraduate experiences. Five recent graduates (from China) explain why. -- 18 If I Could Change the Story... -Some stories can’t be changed (Desdemona’s “lost” handkerchief, for example, and all that ensues thereafter). Other stories can be changed. Some K students used Shakespeare’s Othello to do just that. -- 28 Borrowing from Darwin’s Notebook... And Dumbledore’s Pensieve - A new K-Plan element updates an old tradition to help students integrate the components of their K experiences.
