An Introduction to a Novel Approach to Smoking Reduction

Smoking cessation aids were evaluated for their effectiveness. Literature suggests the methods combining a pharmacological aid with behavioral intervention methods are most effective for smoking abstinence. A new method in aiding smoking reduction and cessation hypothesized to be more effective at long term reduction is introduced. It focuses on eliminating the habit of smoking, a main factor contributing to long-term addiction, without the need for drug intervention.
