Have you ever wanted an excuse to sit and watch Netflix for a couple of months? To scour film festivals for other student works, contacts, or simply ideas? Well, make a doc sip. Mine was called “Weird People Do Good Things.” I'd like to think I was one of those people doing the good, but that is after the fact. Mostly I just wanted to see if I could tell a story the way I had been loving them all my life, and the way I thought I could help create them for the rest of my life. I made something because I had to for myself, for my father, for my education, and for my future. I had to challenge myself with a reality I wanted to create, or at least show the “art film version of reality” that I was determined to express.
