My SIP, Artifacts from the Collection of Franklin William Rosenfeld or The Pseudo-Museum is an exploration into institutional critique. Utilizing the art installation medium I constructed a fake museum exhibit, reminiscent of a blockbuster exhibition at a history museum. The exhibition was made up of fabricated artifacts made of ceramic and metal materials within protective cases. I added wall text, which chronicled the fictional story of the discoverer of the culture which made these "artifacts." The goal of this exhibition was to make the viewer question what is real and not real and to make critical enquiries into the verity of museum exhibit environments.en_US
