Herbal remedies have been studied as a safe and effective alternative to treat depression. Numerous trials were gathered to compare efficacy and tolerability of these herbal remedies to placebo and common antidepressants. It was found that almost all of these herbs are just as effective as common antidepressants, with either the same or fewer reported side effects.en_US
