Abstract
The aim of this study is to propose an experiment examining the use of melatonin and 5-HTP supplements as restorative treatments against rapid eye movement (REM) sleep fragmentations that are demonstrated in patients with temporal traumatic brain injuries. The purpose of this treatment is to potentially treat semantic memory deficits that occur as a byproduct of impaired semantic memory consolidation during REM sleep.
