Abstract
Brochure for the first season of The Playhouse which lists major productions in Dalton Theatre as well as Festival Playhouse productions from 1965-1976. Plays during the 1977-78 season included The Innocents, by William Archibald, Doctor Faustus, by Christopher Marlowe, and The Importance of Being Earnest, by Oscar Wilde.
The 1977-1978 academic year was the first time the newly-constructed thrust theatre, called The Playhouse (later renamed the Nelda K. Balch Playhouse in 1981 following Balch's retirement), was used. It also includes a short biography of Dorothy Upjohn Dalton and a description of The Playhouse.
