Broken Dreams: A Visual Art SIP
MetadataShow full item record
Broken Dreams contained nine pieces. It contained 3 stools, a magazine rack, a wooden plate, a lamp, a candlestick, a cup, and a mirror. For the SIP, I named the pieces (mostly for simplicities sake). The silver stool is titled "Dangerous", the black and red stool is called "Beaded Thoughts", and the blue and green stool is titled "Wishing Star". The magazine rack is called ''Times Past", the plate is called "Watchful Gaze", and the lamp is called "Cloaked Intention". The candlestick is titled "Hidden Danger", the cup is called "Misguided Purpose", and the mirror is called "Distorted Image". I called the SIP "Broken Dreams" because so much of what I am today comes from dreams that I've had that did not come true. It is not always a bad thing, sometimes when wishes do not come through it is for the best. Other times however, it is sadness that drives one to push herself towards a goal. The titles of the individual pieces were made to go along with the idea of the thought of broken dreams. I bought all of the materials for the SIP; I did not build anything by hand.
