The purpose of this manual is to familiarize the reader with the equipment now being used by Light Motif Light show. The manual begins with a short discussion about the properties of light, just to get a grasp on the medium. A description of the dimmer board is next. with an understanding of how the board works, the reader can proceed to the four separate areas of the lightshow: Amsterdams, slides, overheads, and laser effects, to see how individual pieces of equipment are set up and operated. The techniques used here have come from a number of people and lightshows encountered within the last seven years. Some techniques are original ideas. In no way, however, is this manual intended to be the final chapter in any section of the lightshow. Ideally, the format of this manual should have been loose leaf sheets in a three-ring binder so that pages could be added later. Hopefully, however, this manual will give the reader enough information about how one lightshow is run so that these ideas can be used elsewhere and improved upon.
