There are many reasons for people choosing lives as performers. Most who do have considered New York as the place to locate at some point in time. The reasons for this have all been dramatized...to find fame, fortune...to seek the epitome of stardom. All very grand, but when considered in realistic terms, New York can be more...or less, depending on one's perspective. In these terms, it means acting schools, showcases, and "cattle calls''. It is to those aspiring performers, who can see New York in realistic terms, that I dedicate my thesis. Hopefully my research will somehow make life easier for those beginning the life of a "New York Actor".en_US
