The author explores themes of feminism and issues of gender discrimination in the theater through an original production of scenes from four plays by British feminist and playwright, Caryl Churchill. The author chooses five scenes from the plays Cloud Nine, Blue Kettle, Fen, Vinegar Tom, and A Mouthful of Birds. She discusses the context of each play along with directorial decisions regarding blocking, voice overs,and lighting. Appendices include the scripts, photos, and a paper on women and Greek theater.
