dc.description.abstractThe author spent a summer teaching theater for the Yoknapatawpha Youth Art's Program in Oxford, Mississippi. According to the author, the goal of the program is not to teach life skills such as self-esteem, responsibility, and social interaction. The hope is that by enabling the participants to experience theatre, that involvement will aid in the development of these life skills.en_US
