I want to paint forever. There is nothing else I would rather do. In fact, there are few things with which I occupy myself without wishing I were elsewhere, doing other things. Painting is one of those things. I am creating, not interpreting another's work, or commenting on what other people do. Making a painting takes all the creative energy that is within me and releases it, ultimately relaxing me. It is me and the canvas and the paint, and I don't stop manipulating the paint until I'm satisfied with how it feels. This is my calling.
