In today's world of innovative firms which try to get consumers to buy their products. there is one sector of the business world that does not get much credit; small businesses. Small businesses composed of Jess than 500 employees. make up a large portion of the economy and produce new and technological products or offer helpful services. Sometimes for businesses to be productive. the entrepreneurs need technological and other forms of support. such as loans and management counseling. The Small Business Administration (SBA) is an organization of the United States Government which offers this support. This assistance comes in many forms and they are directed at all levels of the small business. This paper discusses the role of the small business and how the Small Business Administration aids the firm. The SBA has helped many small companies new and old in becoming more efficient and productive through many types of services such as management training and technical assistance. Low interest loans and disaster assistance loans are another form of aid that the Small Business Administration also offers and many of these types of assistance are discussed in the following paper. There are many parts of a business; employee/employer relationships, management, pricing, and production. This paper discusses in detail many of the important ways the SBA offers assistance to the firm in these areas mentioned. Labor is probably one of the most important factors necessary in having a business. Workers can make a company run smoothly through a genuine love for their firm. For employees to enjoy and like their job. there must be many incentives without discrimination for one worker over another. Compensation plans and benefits help the employees know their job is more than just work that lasts for so many hours in the day. Some benefit plans will be discussed, also how the government can help this employer and employee relationship. If a small business is successful in the community and perhaps in the nation, the firm might decide to go international in the business. Discussed are the ways the SBA and other government agencies help the small business attain this goal. I worked at a small company in San Francisco and found there were many advantages in working for small companies. There was a certain aurora among the entire group, that made it enjoyable to come to work. I learned many aspects of a small company through the accounting department. I also worked with the labor often in my job and found satisfaction is important among the staff. My job was part of my educational experience and it will remain with me for a long time. As I will discuss later, my future career plans have sprung from my experience at D'Accord and my working with the staff.
