Abstract
In the writing of this paper I was forced to confront my status as an Anglo woman in the United States. I was able to understand the meaning of my position through the beginnings of an understanding of Hispanic women's position in the U.S. I do not wish for this paper to be accepted as the only truth about Hispanic women's health care. I, as a non-Hispanic, cannot understand the Latina's experience fully enough to truly make recommendations on how problems may be solved. I can only point to what I feel the problems are and through this, open the doors for Latinas to propose the solutions to the problems that affect them.
