Mainstreaming: Grand river Elementary Progressing toward an Integrated Future

This paper is about my learning experience in mainstreaming and much more. I will attempt to describe the program in existence at Grand River Elementary School, along with the program which was suggested to them at the start of the school year. I will attempt to show a comparison of these two approaches to mainstreaming and explain why the one at Grand River is working so well. I will then attempt to outline a possible strategy which could be used to initiate such a program, including who and what is really needed.
