Transracial Adoption : In Depth and Personal
Abstract
The author explores transracial adoption of black children by white parents with her own experience as an example. Her purpose is to review the history, research, and issues surrounding the adoptions of black children by white parents. It also includes a brief autobiographical account of her life with the intent to share my experiences of growing up as a transracially adopted black child, showing how her experiences in reaching adulthood reflect research themes and conclusions.
