Abstract
This project was created out of a life long interest that 1 have bad working with people and helping people who are in need. My goal was to help women who are trying to make an advancement in their lives and to break the cycle of poverty that they have always know. However, it is not that easy. Due to societal and economical constraints in Ecuador, many women are almost forced to stay at home. With the help of CEPIM, we tried giving these mothers a base to grow from. We provided services that would hopefully help women create some stability within the home to in turn go out and try to accomplish something of their own. But before that can be entirely done, the people within the society also have to change. They need to accept and help women that want to fulfill their own dreams. If the people in that society are not willing to allow women to leave the home, then it would be very difficult for women to do it. However, if they can get themselves to a point of stability then it would be easier for them to join forces and try to tear down the patriarchal walls. So at CEPIM, we tried helping women find that stability within themselves and their families.
