    Abstract
I conducted my research in Kenya for a total of seven weeks. I arrived on July 27th, 2000 and left September 12th, 2000. During that time I traveled from the capital of Nairobi, to such places as Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, Kitale, and Rongo. In every place I went I saw evidence of poverty and the resulting ghettos, and I met with some of the people who live in the ghettos. I also had a chance to see some of the division between the areas meant for the wealthy and the areas where the less fortunate live. After much thought, I decided to emphasize the impact of Chipukizi Bapaya Productions in the context of third world poverty
