    Abstract
I grew up in Holyoke. I loved my house, my neighborhood, my school, and my community. Or at least the community I understood as an eight-year-old when I moved to Northampton, just one town over. I didn't understand the complexities. This summer I had the honor of working with the Holyoke Youth Commission and completing a project called Photovoice. I am only beginning to understand this community through different life experiences shared through written words and photographs.
