dc.description.abstractThis analysis discusses the changes that have occurred in regard to sexual discourse and sex education in the United States over the past fifty years. This evolution can be attributed primanly to an ever changin~social and-political atmosphere and-a-few advocate groups like SIECUS and PPF A that recognized the need for a more open and informative-sexuat-discout se-irr America: Sexual--discow se has become increasingly more open and liberal as reflected by increased sexuality education in schools and the adoption ofa more comprehensive- sex-education-ovet the pettnissive ideologies ofthe-past Sexual taboos are slowly fading and discourse is opening. This trend is the first step in eradicating many ofthe sex-retated-problems like-SIDs; AIDSIHIV, unwanted pregnancy, and sexual ignorance that plagues America's youth.en_US
