    Abstract
The importance of Brecht's work cannot be overlooked. Through his writings and plays, he tried not only to educate people, but also to tell them truth in a world of lies. The political factors that influenced Brecht to write this play did not play a central role in the play itself. Nonetheless, the importance of them cannot be overlooked. For, without Brecht's hatred toward war, and the 'truth' he tried to give the world, this play never would have been written.
