Security Assistance and U.S. Foreign Policy

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to provide a greater understanding of the connection between U.S. foreign policy and the field of security assistance. In researching this paper, I have gained new insight into the importance of the U.S. security assistance program, and due to my involvement at the Defense Institute of Security Assistance Management (DISAM), have gained great respect for the preparation provided for U .S. security assistance management personnel.
