Cambodia: A Case Study in the Evolution of United Nations Peace-Keeping
Abstract
The fact that the majority of my research for this project was
undertaken at the United Nations ensures that I had no shortage of
massive amounts of information pertaining to Cambodia. Any
oversight or omission in structuring and presenting the background
information on UN involvement in Cambodia is mine alone. One key
problem with the project was that even though my research ended
with my internship at the United Nations Institute of Training and
Research (UNITAR), the progress and activities of UNTAC continued.
Due to the time limits of my internship I chose to end my formal
research on the development of UN activities in Cambodia on
February 15, 1993. Therefore, while much more occurred following
the completion of this project, further developments remain beyond
the scope of this project.
