Between Two Cultures: A Study of Mexican American Migrant Women Who Resettled in Kalamazoo During September, October and November of 1987
This is a study of Mexican American migrant women Who relocated in the Kalamazoo area during the months of September, October an~ November of 1978. The aforesaid time period is a critical one for these women in that they began the long and often difficult process of moving out of the migrant stream and into the urban American society. Their lives entered a transitional phase in the individual, familial, socio-economic and educational realms. My main objective in this study is two-fold: 1) to analyze the problems that this particular group of migrant women encountered in relocation, and 2) to propose possible solutions to those problems.
