Le Discours du Front National
Abstract
The author reviews the history of the French right wing party, The National Front, from its beginning in 1972 under Jean-Marie Le Pen, discussing its appeal to victims of recent economic crises, opponents of North African immigration, and ultra-nationalist partisans. He compares it to the Vichy government of the 1940s, and describes its roots in the Algerian War. Text in French.
