    Abstract
    A description of an internship in the marketing department of Lawson Products in Des Plaines, IL. During which research was completed on market segmentation and the practical ends of market segmentation along with the creation of two projects to the application of market segmentation in the industrial MRO distribution industry. The project encompasses how Lawson Products has chosen to institute a market segmentation plan to help increase sales by penetrating existing accounts and acquiring new accounts. Within this there is the movement and description of the projects completed to help institute the market segmentation, which include industry profiles and competitor reporting.
