Abstract
In this project I reflect upon the experience I had this past summer interning with the USTA Boys' 18 & 16
National Championships at Kalamazoo College. It looks back upon the work I did for the internship along
with exploring the experiences I had and what they taught me. In the following I explore the economics of
professional tennis tournaments and the structure that is used to ensure these events maximize their profits.
I also look into how tournaments use incentives to maximize the efforts of players in their events.
