Abstract
Through the examination of various multinational corporations, a number of patterns
emerge regarding how different companies choose to permeate a market. Firstly, a number of
historic stigmas sometimes remain surrounding the concept of foreigners entering the
Chinese market. These can usually be overcome by a great deal of patience, great networking
skills, respect for your potential colleagues, and an understanding for cultural discrepancies.
Despite some governmental action in recent years, corruption remains an almost omnipresent
fact of Chinese business culture.
