The Unites States 2008 Presidential Election was one of the most important elections in recent history. Many controversial issues were raised concerning health care, energy, education, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and of, course the economy. We faced arguably the worst recession since the Great Depression. The stakes were high and emotions ran deep. After the primaries were over and the national campaign had begun, I began working full-time for the Obama campaign in .Florida. In this paper, I will first give an account of my experiences working on the campaign. Then I will discuss how we innovatively used new media and technology to change the political game and bring Barack Obama to the White House. By the end, I hope that you understand the magnitude of the work we did and how it will forever change politics in this country.
