I was an intern at International Trade Winds. ITW is a third party logistics management company that deals with imports and exports in the automotive industry. Throughout my working experience, I was involved in all facets of the business from answering phones to generating purchasing schedules. This invited me to further exploration of the American automotive industry and its multinational evolution. I discovered that the various demand, production, and international factors defined the market. These factors drove its growth and evolution into a multinational industry. This growth was met by new complexities. New businesses emerged, like ITW, who specialized in dealing with the aspects facing international production. These factors have lead to the current state of the American automobile industry and ITW.
